If the pearl of South Bohemia is the beautiful and distant Hlubokar Nad Vltavu Castle, in Moravia the same word can be used to describe the Rednice-Vartice region. The uniqueness of this monument is underscored by the fact that it is one of only 12 Czech monuments on UNESCO\’s World Heritage List.
Location
As the title of the article indicates, it is located in the southern part of Moravia, less than 50 km southeast of Brno, near Breclav and Mikulov. The local landscape is part of the lower Moravian valley, but the hills of the Perlava mountains rise in the vicinity of Mikulov.
